Juventus have opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A table by claiming a 2-0 victory over Chievo this afternoon.
The Bianconeri started the game strongly and Alvaro Morata almost gave them an early lead when his low effort was parried by Albano Bizzarri at point-blank range.
Giorgio Chiellini was next to threaten for the hosts, but he planted his header over the bar after meeting Carlos Tevez's corner at the near post.
Tevez was involved again minutes later when he worked some room on the edge of the box and blasted a strike into the side-netting.
Juventus continued to dominate and Chiellini once again missed the target with a header, before Morata nodded an effort just wide of the far post.
Arturo Vidal then saw a long-range effort touched over by Bizzarri and, from the resulting corner, the keeper was forced into another save from Chiellini's header.
On the stroke of half time, Tevez fired a free kick into the wall as the first 45 minutes ended without a goal.
The second half began with Juventus still in control and Claudio Marchisio tried his luck from range with a low drive that whistled inches wide.
Juventus finally made the breakthrough on the hour mark as Paul Pogba smashed in a powerful effort from just outside the box that left Bizzarri with no chance.
Pogba was involved again for the Bianconeri's second goal, as his volley was parried by the keeper into the path of Stephan Lichtsteiner, who made no mistake to finish from close range.
Ezequiel Schelotto hit the post in the final minutes for Chievo, but it mattered little as Juventus held on to extend their lead over Roma at the top of Serie A.
