Parma have earned a shock 1-0 victory over Serie A leaders Juventus after Jose Mauri struck on the hour mark to give a boost to the bottom side's survival hopes.
After a quiet start, Roberto Pereyra's shot towards the bottom right corner was well saved by Antonio Mirante.
Mirante was called into action again 12 minutes later, keeping out Arturo Vidal's header and the goalkeeper was on fine form once again to deny Kingsley Coman before half time.
Parma took a shock lead on the hour mark when Ishak Belfodil played in Mauri, whose first-time shot curled into the top left corner.
Juventus struggled to penetrate the Parma back line, with a number of crosses easily cleared. Vidal headed over the bar in the 84th minute and Parma held on for victory.
The win leaves Parma still bottom of the table but eight points from safety, while Juve lead the way at the top with a 14-point advantage.
