The transfer market is currently in full swing, with clubs across Europe busy preparing their squads for the start of the new season.
Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at the latest rumours from Serie A and the deals that have already been completed this summer.
AC Milan
Robinho has today returned to his former club Santos on a one-year loan deal, while Kevin Constant has also ended his spell with AC Milan, after joining Trabzonspor.
Meanwhile, it looks as if goalkeeper Mattia Perin will be moving to the Rossoneri in the near future, with reports claiming that a fee has been agreed with his club Genoa.
Atalanta
Rolando Bianchi has returned to Atalanta on a season-long loan from Bologna. The striker began his career at the Nerazzurri after coming through the club's youth ranks. As part of the deal, Uruguayan forward Ruben Betancourt has moved in the opposite direction.
Elsewhere, the club are said to be tracking Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano, although Cesena, Sassuolo and Parma are also thought to be interested.
Cagliari
Cagliari have signed Marco Capuano on loan from Pescara this week. The 22-year-old has played for Italy at Under-21 level and as part of the transfer, Dario Del Fabro has moved the other way.
Mauricio Pinilla has departed the club for Genoa, but they could be preparing to sign Luca Ceppitelli, with reports suggesting that he is close to a move from Parma.
Cesena
Cesena managed to bring in four new players to the club last week, but there have not been any arrivals in the past few days. However, recent reports have claimed that they are keen to bring in one of Napoli trio Antonio Rosati, Luigi Vitale or Walter Gargano.
They have also been linked to Roma's Antonio Sanabria and Milan's M'Baye Niang, but any move for Amauri has been denied by Parma.
Chievo
This week Chievo have been linked with a move for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Victor Obinna.
The Nigerian had a spell on loan at the club last season, but it is believed that they will face competition from Atalanta for his signature.
Empoli
If reports this week are to be believed, then Fiorentina duo Rafal Wolski and Matias Vecino could be joining Empoli on loan for the forthcoming season.
Meanwhile, the club have been boosted by the news that Juventus defender Daniele Rugani will be staying at the club on loan for the new campaign, after his co-ownership agreement was renewed.
Fiorentina
One story that has continued throughout the summer is the future of Fiorentina midfielder Juan Cuadrado. The latest reports this week have suggested that Manchester United have made an offer for the Colombian international.
In other news, the club are reportedly keen on signing Giacomo Bonaventura, while Ante Rebic has joined newly-promoted Bundesliga club RB Leipzig on loan.
Genoa
Mauricio Pinilla has today his completed his move to Genoa from Cagliari. The Chile international scored seven goals in Serie A last season and made three appearances for his country at this year's World Cup.
They may also swoop for Inter defender Ibrahima Mbaye, with reports claiming that he will arrive for talks with the club tomorrow.
Hellas Verona
It has been a mixed week in the transfer market for Hellas Verona, who have lost one of their standout players of last season, Romulo. The Brazilian midfielder has joined Juventus on a season-long loan and the Bianconeri have the option to make the move permanent for €6m (£4.8m) if he impresses.
On a more positive note, Mexico captain Rafael Marquez has completed a move from Club Leon. The 35-year-old was one of his country's best players at the World Cup and returns to Europe for the first time since playing for Barcelona in 2010. The Gialloblu have also brought in Spanish defender Antonio Luna on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
Inter Milan
Inter Milan have completed the much-expected signing of Dani Osvaldo from Southampton. The striker will play for the Nerazzurri on a season-loan deal, with Saphir Taider moving in the opposite direction also on loan.
They also look likely to sign Chile international Gary Medel, who arrived in Italy earlier this week ahead of his proposed move to the San Siro. Meanwhile, Valencia are believed to have made enquiries about the availability of midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
Juventus
As previously mentioned, Juventus have signed Romulo on loan from Juventus. The arrival of the 27-year-old could mean the exit of one of the club's midfielders, but it looks as if Paul Pogba will be staying in Turin after the Frenchman admitted that he doesn't want to leave.
One player that will not be at the club this season is Mauricio Isla, who has joined Queens Park Rangers on loan. In some news that will excite the Juventus fans, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's former coach at Malmo Stefan Hansson has said that the striker is keen on a return to the club.
Lazio
Edson Braafheid has been signed by Lazio in the past seven days. The 31-year-old was a free agent after leaving Hoffenheim, and has been snapped up by the Rome outfit.
Reports have also suggested that the Biancocelesti are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the transfer of Younes Kaboul, and they could move for Ron Vlaar, but Juventus are also thought to be interested in the Aston Villa defender.
Napoli
It seems as if there will be no return to Napoli for Pepe Reina, with the goalkeeper set for a move to Bayern Munich. He had spent last season on loan at the Partenopei, but it is believed the club were unwilling to meet his release clause.
Also this week, Valon Behrami has completed a move to Hamburg. The Swiss international has brought an end to his two-year spell at the club by penning a three-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit.
Palermo
In the past seven days Palermo have wrapped up the signing of Zouhair Feddal. The Moroccan has joined on loan from Parma for the next season, with the club having the option to make the move permanent.
Inter defender Matias Silvestre has been linked with a return to Palermo, while Alexis Rolin is also said to be a target of the club. Meanwhile, Abel Hernandez could be heading for the exit door, with Sunderland thought to be keen on signing the striker.
Parma
As well as loaning Zouhair Feddal to Palermo, Parma have also sent Gianni Munari on a season-long deal to Watford. The 31-year-old will be hoping for more playing time at the Hornets, after making just 11 league appearances for the Gialloblu last season.
There have been no new arrivals at the Stadio Ennio Tardini so far this month, but Francesco Lodi and Madjid Bougherra are just two of the players that have been linked with a move.
Roma
Roma have been quiet in the transfer market this week, but that hasn't stopped a number of players being linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico. One of those was Samuel Eto'o, who was said to be close to joining the club, but the Giallorossi have denied that any talks have taken place with the striker.
Xherdan Shaqiri is also thought to be on Rudi Garcia's list of targets, but Mattia Destro has continued to be linked with a move away from Rome. Reports have also suggested that Gervinho has agreed on a new contract, after his impressive debut season in Italy.
Sampdoria
Sampdoria have completed the much expected signing of Gonzalo Bergessio. The 30-year-old striker had been at Catania since 2011, but he was been widely expected to leave the club following their relegation from Serie A last season. However, Shkodran Mustafi has joined Valencia, signing a six-year contract with the La Liga outfit.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has also joined the Blucerchiati from Palermo in the last week. He spent last season on loan at Arsenal, but failed to make an appearance for the Gunners. Elsewhere, Brazilian midfielder Renan is reportedly on the verge of leaving Sampdoria for Al Nassr.
Sassuolo
Sassuolo could be forced into signing a new goalkeeper, after Gianluca Pegolo broke his leg during a training session earlier this week. He took over as the club's number one when he arrived from Siena last season and went on to make 33 appearances in Serie A.
Meanwhile, the Neroverdi are said to be interested in signing Luca Cigarini, but Jasmin Kurtic continues to be linked with a switch away from the club, amid interest from Fiorentina and Atalanta.
Torino
The speculation surrounding Alessio Cerci's future has continued to gather pace this week. There is no shortage of teams linked to the Italian international, but recent reports from Italy have claimed that his club will offer him a new contract in a bid to persuade him to stay.
If Cerci does leave, then it is believed that Torino will prepare a move for Napoli striker Duvan Zapata to replace him. They may also have trouble holding on to Matteo Darmian, with Roma reportedly keen on the highly-rated full-back.
Udinese
Paraguay international Ivan Piris joined Udinese on loan from Deportivo Maldonado at the beginning of the week. The 25-year-old defender has experience playing in Serie A, having spent a season on loan at Roma two years ago.
It is also believed that the club are interested in signing Greek international Panagiotis Kone from Genoa. However, Nicolas Lopez might be on his way out of the club this summer, with reports claiming that Genoa are preparing a bid for the Uruguayan.
