Sydney FC striker Alessandro Del Piero has revealed his desire to continue his playing career next season and has hinted at a willingness to return to Juventus.
The 39-year-old ended his legendary 19-year spell with the Old Lady to move to Australia in 2012, but his contract with the A-League club expires in the summer.
Reports have suggested that Juve are considering offering Del Piero a romantic return to Turin and, although the Italian has insisted that he will first speak to Sydney if he decides to play on, a final hurrah at the Serie A giants did seem to appeal to him.
"I don't know what I'll do next season," he told reporters. "I'll evaluate at the end of the season. My hearts says for me to play, but I must also listen to the legs.
"This will be the big question of my summer. I have a meeting with the club president at the end of the season. Their one will be the first offer I listen to."
When asked whether a return to Juventus was a possibility Del Piero replied, smiling: "Only as a player."
Del Piero is captain at Sydney and has scored 10 goals in 22 appearances for them this season.
