Los Angeles Galaxy have moved up to fifth place in the Western Conference after recording back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 2-1 victory at Colorado Rapids.
The visitors took the lead after 21 minutes when Colorado defender Marvell Wynne clumsily diverted past his own goalkeeper.
Galaxy's advantage was doubled in much more stylish fashion six minutes before half time.
Robbie Keane flicked a delightful pass through to Landon Donovan, who smashed his left-footed shot past Matt Pickens and into the roof.
Omar Cummings pulled a goal back on 63 minutes with a brilliant left-footed shot from 25 yards.
Colorado had not looked like equalising, however they were gifted a golden chance in stoppage time as David Junior Lopes brought down Andre Akpan and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.
After a three-minute delay, Cummings stepped up but his tame effort was comfortably saved by Josh Saunders.
