Djibril Cisse has claimed that his love of the English game was a key factor in his move to Queens Park Rangers.
The French striker joined QPR from Lazio this week and promptly scored a debut goal in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Cisse also admitted that he did not enjoy his time in Serie A, scoring only once in 18 appearances this season.
The former Liverpool striker said: "To be honest, I missed the crowds, the tension and the quality of the game — and the way it's always fast and forward in England.
"I guess the reason I didn't really do that well in Italy was that it's a different kind of football. It's more tactical and not really my cup of tea!"
QPR paid the Italian giants £4m for Cisse's services.
