Lazio cruised to a 4-0 triumph over Parma at the Stadio Olimpico this evening, confirming the visitors' relegation from Serie A.
Parma had the first chance of the match after seven minutes when Raffaele Palladino's powerful effort was stopped by Federico Marchetti.
Lazio then scored three goals in the space of six minutes. First, Marco Parolo broke the deadlock in the 10th minute, firing into the top corner from long range.
Miroslav Klose then doubled the lead three minutes later, scoring off a rebound from inside the penalty area, and Antonio Candreva added a third in double-quick time, slotting the ball into the bottom-left corner from 10 yards.
Lazio continued to cause problems for the Parma defence throughout the first half, with Klose and Candreva impressing in the Lazio attack.
Pedro Mendes came close to pulling a goal back in the 68th minute when he shot just over the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area.
Andi Lila created Parma's best moment of the match when his first-time effort rebounded off the crossbar.
Balde Keita added the final goal of the game in the 81st minute, firing into the roof of the net from inside the penalty area.
The win sees Lazio postpone Juventus' Scudetto celebrations and confirms Parma's relegation to Serie B.
