Brian McDermott has described Leeds United's third-round exit from the FA Cup as his "worst moment in football".
The Championship club were beaten 2-0 by League Two side Rochdale in the competition earlier today.
The manager told BBC Radio Leeds: "I would probably say that is my worst moment in football. This will be a driver for me in the coming weeks. We need to invest in this team, it needs help.
"We seem to have run out of steam. We have to do it for those who travelled today and desperately, desperately sorry we put on a performance like today. Rochdale played well and it is their day."
Rochdale will learn their opponents for the next round when the fourth-round draw takes place tomorrow afternoon.
