Championship week 35 predictions including West Brom vs. Preston North End

:Headline: Championship week 35 predictions including West Brom vs. Preston North End:
Sports Mole provides score predictions for all 12 of the midweek Championship fixtures, including West Bromwich Albion vs. Preston North End.

Cardiff vs. Nottingham Forest (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Nottingham Forest make the trip to South Wales to face Cardiff City having failed to win any of their last three fixtures in the Championship.

Meanwhile, the home side now sit six points adrift of the playoffs after two matches without success at the second tier.

We say: Cardiff City 1-2 Nottingham Forest

With neither team having enjoyed recent success, both teams are lacking confidence heading into this contest. However, we feel that Forest's extra quality in attack will help them earn a scrappy victory.

Huddersfield vs. Bristol City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Huddersfield Town square off against Bristol City on Tuesday night sitting just two points above the Championship relegation zone.

Having suffered three defeats in four matches, Bristol travel to Yorkshire having fallen three points off the playoff places.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-2 Bristol City

Both teams are under pressure for contrasting reasons heading into this contest. In what could prove to be a nervy affair, we feel that Bristol will show more ambition in the final third, an approach which could pay off by the full-time whistle.

Luton vs. Brentford (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Relegation-threatened Luton Town welcome promotion-chasing Brentford to Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night with both sides in search of a win.

The Hatters saw their two game winning run come to an end on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by Charlton Athletic, while Thomas Frank's Bees came from behind to secure a draw with Blackburn Rovers.

We say: Luton Town 1-3 Brentford

Luton's need for a result will likely see them get on the scoresheet but Brentford should have enough pace and quality in the attacking areas as they look to maintain their promotion push.

QPR vs. Derby (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Queens Park Rangers welcome Derby County to Loftus Road on Tuesday night in a battle of two Championship mid-table outfits.

The West London club played out a drab draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, while Wayne Rooney's panenka was the highlight as the Rams drew with Fulham at Pride Park.

We say: QPR 1-2 Derby County

Both sides have been impossibly hard to predict this season but Derby look the more impressive of the two and QPR's issues up front look set to continue on Tuesday night.

West Brom vs. Preston (Tuesday, 8pm)

Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion will be looking to take another stride towards sealing automatic promotion when they host Preston North End on Tuesday evening.

Albion have recovered from a mid-season wobble by taking 13 points from the last 15 on offer, while Preston are also in good form an enter this fixture sitting sixth in the table.

We say: West Brom 1-1 Preston

Both sides have been tough to beat of late, losing just one of their last 13 games between them. Preston have been impressive on the road and Albion a little shaky at home, so we are backing this one to finish all square.

Blackburn vs. Stoke (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Playoff-chasing Blackburn Rovers face a visit from relegation-threatened Stoke City at Ewood Park on Wednesday night.

Blackburn find themselves eighth in the Championship table, just five points adrift of the top six, while Stoke are down in 19th, only three points clear of the drop.

We say: Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Stoke City

Blackburn are in fine form, are at home and should have too much for a Stoke side that struggle on the road, even with their present injury crisis.

Fulham vs. Swansea (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Fulham play host to Swansea City on Wednesday night having failed to win of their last three fixtures in the Championship.

As for the visitors, they travel to Craven Cottage having put together a three-match unbeaten streak at the second tier, keeping the club in contention for the playoffs.

We say: Fulham 2-1 Swansea City

Although Swansea have produced the stronger form in recent games, we expect Fulham to return to winning ways in front of their own supporters, potentially via a goal in the closing stages.

Hull vs. Barnsley (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Hull City will hope not to fall victim to a resurgent Barnsley side when the pair meet in a Yorkshire derby on Wednesday night.

Grant McCann's side are enduring a dire run of form that has seen them slip down the Championship table to within seven points of the relegation zone.

We say: Hull City 1-1 Barnsley

Hull are poor at home and Barnsley - despite their recent upsurge in form - have a terrible record on the road. These two sides could cancel each other out in a score draw at the KCOM Stadium.

Middlesbrough vs. Leeds (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Leeds United make the trip to Middlesbrough on Wednesday night having strengthened their grip of second place in the Championship standings.

However, Boro play host to the Yorkshire giants embroiled in a relegation battle after a succession of poor results since the turn of the year.

We say: Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds United

Everything points to this game not featuring many goals. Leeds have made a habit of winning games by one-goal margins, while Boro have struggled for goals in recent games. With that in mind, a 1-0 win for the visitors looks a strong possibility.

Millwall vs. Birmingham (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Millwall host Birmingham City at The Den on Wednesday as both clubs look to consolidate in mid-table and make a late charge towards the playoff places.

The pair sit 11th and 14th in the Championship table, respectively, and have a sizeable cushion between themselves and the relegation zone, but also have plenty of ground to make up on the top six.

We say: Millwall 0-1 Birmingham City

Millwall are strong at home, but Birmingham seem to have clicked under Clotet and could further extend their unbeaten run in London with a narrow victory.

Sheffield Wednesday vs. Charlton (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Sheffield Wednesday welcome Charlton Athletic to Hillsborough on Wednesday in a meeting between two sides that have struggled for form in the Championship of late.

A winless run in the league stretching back to early January has damaged Wednesday's promotion chances, while Charlton sit just five points clear of the relegation places.

We say: Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Charlton Athletic

Following a wretched run of recent form, Sheffield Wednesday showed signs of life in their last match against Birmingham and should build on that with a win against a struggling Charlton team.

Reading vs. Wigan (Wednesday, 8pm)

Reading face Wigan Athletic at the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday in a crucial clash at the bottom of the Championship.

Wigan are two points adrift of safety after an impressive win against Millwall on Saturday, while Reading are just eight points clear of the Latics.

We say: Reading 1-1 Wigan

Reading have been in poor form recently but should be able to secure at least a draw against an inconsistent Wigan side. While Cook's men have improved of late, they remain in the bottom three and could lack the firepower to take all three points.
