Ross McCormack's 28th league goal of the season has given Leeds United a 1-0 lead in their game against Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.
Matt Smith proved himself to be a nuisance and tested Luke Steele with a strong header in the eighth minute.
Less than 10 minutes later, Smith nodded the ball into the path of McCormack, who scooped the ball goalwards and it squirmed under the body of Steele and rolled into the back of the net.
Barnsley struggled to create many chances, and Tomasz Cywka had the home side's best effort, but it was a poor strike from 25 yards.
