A goal from Luke Murphy has given Leeds United a 1-0 lead at the halfway stage of their Championship match against Bournemouth this evening.
Callum Wilson came close for the visitors early on when he broke from deep inside his own half, before racing through and firing just wide.
The Cherries threatened again moments later through Brett Pitman, who was found by Marc Pugh, but could only put his effort wide of the target.
In a lively opening to the match it was Leeds who had the next chance on goal as Rodolph Austin's header was tipped over by Artur Boruc.
Austin was proving to be a danger for the hosts and he soon dragged two further attempts wide of the post.
As the game approached the half-hour mark, Murphy saw his attempt from range tipped behind by Boruc.
Leeds finally made their dominance count in the 36th minute as Murphy curled a strike from the edge of the box into the top corner.
Pitman had the ball in the net a couple of minutes later for the visitors, but his attempt was ruled out for offside.
Bournemouth ended the half strongly, but Wilson saw a header saved by Marco Silvestri as the league leaders went into the break trailing.
