Matt Smith's close-range header was enough to give Leeds United a precious half-time lead against Doncaster Rovers as they look to close on the Championship playoff spots.
The former Oldham Athletic forward was on hand six yards out to nod home Alex Mowatt's cross on 19 minutes.
Doncaster, who are just above the Championship relegation zone, tried to find a way back into the game, with Martin Woods and Richie Wellens seeing their shots blocked by the Leeds defence.
However, it was Smith who almost found a second just before the interval, but his header drifted over the bar.
A win for Brian McDermott's men could see them move into the playoff places, if other results go their way.
