Joao Teixeira has handed a 1-0 lead to Brighton & Hove Albion with an early goal against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Brighton were ahead in just the fifth minute when Teixeira, making his full debut following his loan move from Liverpool, collected an inch-perfect pass from Bruno before sliding the ball home from close range.
Clear chances proved to be rare following the early goal for the visitors, with Kemy Agustien coming close to doubling Brighton's lead with a long-range strike which drifted wide of the target.
Causing problems for Brighton was proving to be difficult for Leeds as Michael Tonge dragged their best opportunity of the first half wide of the target from the edge of the box.
Brighton were looking strong once again before the break, and were inches away from a second goal when Inigo Calderon headed over from Adam Chicksen's inviting cross.
