Leeds United have announced that Edgar Cani will play no further part for the club this season because of a knee injury.
The striker, on loan from Catania, was one of six players to suddenly pull out of Leeds's last game at Charlton Athletic, which they went on to lose 2-1 for their fifth defeat in a row.
Leeds said on their website this evening that Cani, who joined the club in the January transfer window and has made just four substitute appearances since, would miss their remaining two games after undergoing an MRI scan.
Another one of the 'Charlton six', Giuseppe Bellusci, is also likely to miss the rest of the season.
