Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has confirmed that Luke Murphy will be sidelined for the start of the new Championship season.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been forced to undergo surgery on a knee injury that he suffered during a recent training session.
"It's very unfortunate for Luke, I was looking forward to see him in action," Rosler told the club's official website.
"He needed a minor operation to clear one or two things up and we expect him back within four to seven weeks."
The Whites will get their 2015-16 season underway with a home clash against Burnley on Saturday, August 8.
