Leeds United manager Garry Monk has claimed that he feels "embarrassed" for Jaap Stam after the Reading boss criticised rival fans for chanting 'boring' at his team.
During Leeds's 2-0 win over Reading on Monday, the home supporters sang "boring boring Reading", which bothered the manager.
After the game, Stam told reporters that the chants gave an indication as to "how [the fans] are as human beings", and now Monk has given his thoughts on the comments.
"I felt a bit embarrassed for him," getreading quotes Monk as saying. "Sometimes emotions are high. I'm not concerned by Jaap comments, we were very happy with our performance."
In the match, Reading had 77% possession, but only created two shots on target.
