Leeds United striker Ross McCormack has been ruled out of Scotland's next two international fixtures with an ankle injury.
The 26-year-old, who picked up the knock during Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Cardiff City, will reportedly spend the next eight weeks on the sidelines.
Leeds boss Neil Warnock told the club's official website: "'It might be that he needs an operation on Friday because he chipped a bone alongside the ligaments."
Scotland face Wales and Belgium in their World Cup qualification campaign next month.
