Brian McDermott has said that he wants visiting teams to fear Elland Road this season.

Leeds United are predicting their highest opening day attendance in over a decade for their clash against Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow, with over 32,000 supporters expected.

The manager told the club's official website: "Elland Road has always been a place where teams would come and have a certain fear about them, we need to have that and get that going this season.

"I think we have got 32,000 plus going into the ground on Saturday, the atmosphere is going to be really charged up and I for one can't wait to get going.

"You obviously want to get a result, that's the first and foremost. A performance is important as well. We want to play good football and everybody on the first day of the season wants to get a winning result."

Leeds finished 13th in the Championship last season.
