Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has insisted that his side are still in the race to secure promotion to the Premier League.
McDermott's side are currently 11th in the Championship, five points outside the playoff places, and he believes that his players must be focused on reaching the top flight of English football until it is mathematically impossible.
"We're not out of the running," the Leeds boss told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"You've got to believe that we've still got a real chance of getting there.
"With 10 games to go if we're four or five points off the top six then who knows? We'll have home games coming up and we might have a chance."
McDermott's future at Elland Road remains uncertain as Massimo Cellino closes in on his purchase of the club.
