Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has praised the "grit and determination" that has been shown by Luke Murphy in recent weeks.
The midfielder had been on the fringes of the team for most of the season, but he has since started the last three matches, the latest of which saw him score an 86th-minute equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.
Speaking after that encounter, Redfearn told the Yorkshire Evening Post: To be fair to Luke, he has come in after having his nose pushed out for a while, but his attitude has been fantastic.
"I thought last year when he came in for a little bit of criticism for being a big-money signing that he never hid."
"He wants the ball all the time and never hides and always gets it. If he makes a mistake, it doesn't faze him and he keeps getting on it. I admire that grit and determination."
Murphy's goal was the first that he had scored for Leeds since last April.
