Leeds United could reinstate Brian McDermott despite being sacked last night, according to reports.
Adam Pope, a reporter from West Yorkshire, tweeted on Saturday afternoon: "Am hearing that the club are trying to bring manager McDermott back after Italians sacked him last night."
He continued: "Cellino's lawyer Chris Farnell sacked Brian McDermott it appears without the Italian being in charge with deal incomplete... David Haigh now back at the club after stepping down last night. He and GFH trying to bring McDermott back."
The speculation comes amid news that the club has sold a majority stake to the Cellino family, who also own Serie A club Cagliari Calcio.
