Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has refused to be drawn on reports that have linked his club with a move for Leeds United striker Billy Sharp.
It has recently been suggested that the 28-year-old was a loan target of McCarthy, who is known to want to bolster his attacking ranks, despite the arrival of Freddie Sears from Colchester United.
However, when asked by the East Anglian Daily Times about that rumour, the Tractor Boys boss responded: "Unless I said we were doing something with him I wouldn't comment because he's a Leeds player."
Sharp has made just eight Championship starts for Leeds this term, the last of which came against Wigan Athletic on Boxing Day.
