Crystal Palace to rival Leeds United for Huddersfield Town midfielder?

Crystal Palace are reportedly ready to join the race to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O'Brien, who is also said to be a target for Leeds United.

Crystal Palace are reportedly contemplating whether to launch an approach for Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O'Brien.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Terriers squad, contributing five goals from 80 league appearances since 2018.

O'Brien was seemingly on course to spend another campaign in the Championship until Leeds United revealed their interest in his signature earlier this month.

While they are said to have failed with a bid of £3m, Football Insider suggests that Palace are ready to rival their Premier League rivals for O'Brien's signature.

The report suggests that Huddersfield will likely lower their £10m asking price if any club is prepared to agree to a compromise.

O'Brien only has one year remaining on his contract at the John Smith's Stadium. body check tags ::
