The Football Association has contacted Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson to ask for his observations following an alleged spat with a fan.
Footage recently emerged of the 51-year-old involved in a heated exchange with a supporter during the Foxes' 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool on December 2.
Pearson claimed on Friday that he had no intention of apologising for the incident. The Leicester manager has until 6pm on Friday to contact the FA.
Leicester, who have failed to win their last 10 Premier League matches, return to action on Saturday when they host champions Manchester City.
