Leicester City have defeated Werder Bremen 1-0 in their final game before the new Premier League season gets underway.
Just seven minutes were on the clock when centre-back Wes Morgan converted Riyad Mahrez's corner to bag his third goal of pre-season.
Morgan almost added his second of the afternoon shortly after, only for his far-post header to be denied following an infringement in the box.
It was not all the Foxes' way, though, and Nils Petersen almost levelled the contest only for Kasper Schmeichel to get the better of him when through on goal.
Schmeichel pulled off a triple stop to deny the striker before the interval, and the missed opportunities almost proved costly for Bremen with Leonardo Ulloa finding the target with his header, but his attempt was well kept out.
Leicester were in control as the game entered the final 20 minutes, albeit with a slender scoreline, with Raphael Wolf denying Ulloa after the striker got a shot away having shrugged off his man.
The Foxes were unable to add to their advantage with the friendly finishing 1-0 in their favour. They kick off their league campaign against Everton at the King Power Stadium next weekend.
