Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has played down speculation of a rift between Riyad Mahrez and the rest of the squad following the events of the transfer window.
The Algerian was reportedly left "very depressed" after being denied a £60m move to league leaders Manchester City in the final throes of the transfer window, with the Foxes having allegedly priced him out of a transfer by demanding £95m for his signature.
Mahrez has since not returned to training and was absent for the Foxes' home draw with Swansea City this afternoon, with some reports suggesting that his teammates are angry with his conduct.
Speaking after the game, however, Maguire told reporters: "The boys will welcome Riyad back and he's no doubt one of our best players.
"It's for him, his agent and the club to deal with, but we would welcome him back."
Today's result sees Claude Puel's side move onto 35 points for the season, just five short of the theoretical marker required for safety.
