Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has ruled out the possibility of ex-England striker Emile Heskey returning to the Premier League outfit as a player.
The 36-year-old forward, who also played for Liverpool and Aston Villa, admitted on Tuesday that he is keen on rejoining the Foxes in a playing capacity.
However, Pearson told BBC Sport: "You are reading a bit too much into it to suggest [Heskey] would improve what we've got here at the minute."
Heskey has taken up an ambassadorial role with Leicester since returning to England following two years with the Newcastle Jets in Australia's A-League.
