Leicester City have reportedly rejected a £9m offer from West Bromwich Albion for Jeffrey Schlupp.
The Ghanaian acted as a utility back-up option for the Foxes on their way to Premier League glory last season, appearing at left-back, left midfield and up front at various stages of the campaign.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is understood to be in the market for a left-sided player this summer having been forced to play Chris Brunt out of position for the majority of his 18-month tenure.
The Birmingham Mail reports that West Brom made a formal £9m offer for Schlupp over the weekend, but that Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri sees the player as an important part of his plans next season.
The 23-year-old made 24 Premier League appearances last season and could see himself involved more from the start next term should Riyad Mahrez leave the club.
