Leyton Orient striker Kevin Lisbie has refused to raise the club's expectations despite their strong first half of the season.
Leyton Orient are currently 12th in League One, but are closer to the playoff spots than the relegation zone.
However Lisbie, who was named League One player of the month for November, insists that 40 points is still the target.
"We have no expectations," London24.com quotes Lisbie as saying. "I'm not going to be tempted in to talking about getting into the playoffs – absolutely no chance. The league ends in April, so we'll have a look then.
"Last season we were struggling, we didn't have 31 points until the last couple of months of the season. Now we've got it in December, but we'll work our way to 40 and go from there."
Leyton Orient travel to Notts County on Saturday.
