Lille coach Rene Girard has hailed the performances of his goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama who has been pivotal in guiding the French side into second position in Ligue 1.
Les Dogues kept the pressure on league leaders Paris Saint-Germain by beating AS Monaco 2-0 on Sunday evening, with Enyeama keeping his tenth clean sheet of the campaign.
"He is a real model. And in the Lille changing room, he is like a big brother, he commands respect," Girard said, according to French newspaper Le Parisien.
"Today, he is one of the pillars of the team, this is a boy who has pep, who is happy to live and transmits it on the pitch, because the job is there. This is a great person to have by my side."
Enyeama has also been praised by other members of the Lille squad recently, with teammate Rio Mavuba claiming that his side have Jesus in goal.
