Reigning European champions Liverpool will be looking to keep the defence of their title alive on Wednesday night when they welcome Atletico Madrid to Anfield for a must-win second leg in their last-16 tie.
Atletico stifled Jurgen Klopp's side at the Wanda Metropolitano as Saul Niguez's early goal earned the La Liga outfit a 1-0 lead at the halfway stage of the tie, with Liverpool failing to have a single shot on target.
However, the Reds have been imperious at Anfield in recent years and have not lost in front of their own fans in any competition since September 2018 - 42 matches ago.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.
Alisson Becker
Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: March 21 (vs. Crystal Palace)
Liverpool will be without first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker for this match after the Brazilian picked up a slight muscle strain on his hip during training last week. Klopp has since ruled him out of the Merseyside derby on Monday night and suggested that his return may have to wait until after the international break.
Andrew Robertson
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Atletico)
Andrew Robertson was a surprise absentee for the weekend win over Bournemouth after picking up a minor injury in training, but Klopp is optimistic that the full-back will recover in time to face Atletico.
Jordan Henderson
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Atletico)
Liverpool could be further boosted by the return of their captain Jordan Henderson, who is now back in first-team training and "ready" to feature having missed the last four games since limping off in the first leg.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown
Klopp has refused to put a timeframe on Xherdan Shaqiri's return from a calf injury which has plagued him throughout the campaign and limited him to just one appearance in a matchday squad so far this calendar year.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown
Nathaniel Clyne remains Liverpool's longest absentee, having suffered an ACL injury during pre-season which has kept him sidelined for the entire campaign so far.
LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST
Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, but Joe Gomez, Sadio Mane and Robertson are all just one booking away from a ban.
