Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that the performances of his younger players was the biggest positive from the 1-1 draw with Bordeaux.
Jussie scored late to cancel out Adam Lallana's strike on the opening night of the Europa League group stage as Liverpool extended their winless run to four games in all competitions.
After deciding to leave out a number of key players to hand opportunities to youngsters, Rodgers was quick to reveal his delight when reflecting on their performances.
The Liverpool boss told reporters: "I am so proud of the young ones tonight. I will always give young ones a chance – do you let them out on loan or put them under that pressure?
"For Jordan Rossiter and young Pedro [Chirivella] it was invaluable experience and they acquitted themselves well. Jordan got cramp late on and then Cameron [Brannagan] came on and slotted in.
"Jordon Ibe is only 19, young Joe Gomez is 18 and you took great encouragement when you see the type of performance they played."
Liverpool return to action against Norwich City on Sunday.
