Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Shrewsbury Town

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's FA Cup fourth round replay with Shrewsbury Town.

Liverpool head into their FA Cup fourth round replay with Shrewsbury Town with the intention of resting their entire first-team squad.

With the game featuring during a winter break introduced by the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp has insisted that none of his star men will be used on Tuesday night.

However, while Under-23s boss Neil Critchley and his academy players are due to take centre stage, there is a window of opportunity for a number of players to make an appearance after injury.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with the League One outfit.

Sadio Mane

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 15 (vs. Norwich City)

While Mane is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury, the Senegal international will not be risked here, instead using the winter break to regain full fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: February 15 (vs. Norwich City)

Like with Mane, Shaqiri is almost ready to make his next appearance in the first team. However, given the plans already outlined by Klopp, it would come as a surprise if he featured on Tuesday night.

James Milner

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 15 (vs. Norwich City)

Milner will also play no part of the game in midweek, with the veteran needing a few more days of recovery time than Mane and Shaqiri.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

With Liverpool having felt confident about offloading Clyne before the end of the January transfer window, the suggestion is that the right-back is close to making an appearance after a serious knee injury. However, the Englishman is not in contention for the meeting with Shrewsbury.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no suspension issues ahead of this match.
