Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
Sports Mole

Having passed the biggest test of their Premier League title credentials with flying colours, Liverpool hit the road to take on Newcastle United on Wednesday evening.

The Reds prolonged Manchester City's misery with a richly-deserved 2-0 win over the reigning champions on Sunday, where Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah's efforts either side of the break did the damage.

As well as opening up an 11-point gap over the champions, Arne Slot's juggernaut have maintained a nine-point advantage over both Arsenal and Chelsea thanks to their 11th win from just 13 top-flight games this term.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Magpies, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ibrahima Konate was the victim of an apparent knee injury in the 2-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid last week, and he recently confirmed on social media that he is facing an unspecified amount of time on the sidelines, so a comeback on Wednesday is likely out of the question.

Conor Bradley

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Similarly, Conor Bradley appeared to hurt his hamstring against Los Blancos, and having been unavailable for the battle with Man City, the right-back is not anticipated to return on Wednesday either.

Kostas Tsimikas

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Kostas Tsimikas sustained an ankle injury in training towards the end of November, the severity of which is still unknown, but he is not expected to make his comeback at St James' Park.

Diogo Jota

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Newcastle United)

As Slot conceded a couple of weeks ago, Diogo Jota was unavailable for the meetings with Real Madrid and Man City due to his painful abdominal issue, but the Portugal international has not been ruled out of the midweek contest just yet.

Alisson Becker

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Newcastle United)

Alisson Becker is in the exact same boat as Jota with his hamstring injury, although the Brazilian is slowly being re-integrated into more training sessions and might have a slim chance of returning on Wednesday.

Federico Chiesa

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Newcastle United)

The injury-riddled Federico Chiesa is participating in some aspects of team training as he endeavours to finally reach full fitness again, but even if he is given the green light to return on Wednesday, he will only make the bench.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
