Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Ange Postecoglou's unbeaten start to life at Tottenham Hotspur will come under threat when the Lilywhites welcome Liverpool to North London for Saturday's headline Premier League clash.

Spurs came from behind twice to snatch a point in a captivating 2-2 draw with North London rivals Arsenal on Sunday, as Son Heung-min silenced the Emirates with a brace.

Boasting 14 points from a possible 18 so far, Tottenham occupy fourth place in the Premier League table, two spots and two points worse off than their upcoming opponents.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown against Liverpool, who beat Leicester City 3-1 in the third round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

James Maddison

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: September 30 (vs. Liverpool)

After setting up both of Son's goals at the Emirates, James Maddison suffered an awkward jolt to the knee, but he managed to soldier on before eventually being replaced. The playmaker is believed to have been sent for scans this week, but his status is currently unclear ahead of Saturday's clash.

Brennan Johnson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Brennan Johnson, who made his first Spurs start at the Emirates, was withdrawn in the second half with a suspected hamstring problem, and while the severity of his issue is also unknown, the Welshman is not expected to feature against the Reds.

Ivan Perisic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Last week, Tottenham revealed that Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic had suffered a "complex" ACL injury in training, and he is expected to sit out the rest of the season in what may prove to be a bitter end to his Spurs career.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Fulham)

Rodrigo Bentancur is doing bits of team training as he steps up his recovery from a serious knee injury, but the Uruguayan midfielder may take another few weeks to get back up to speed.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Fulham)

The luckless Ryan Sessegnon went under the knife to address a hamstring injury in the summer, and the Englishman is not thought to have a chance of coming back before the end of October in the best-case scenario.

Bryan Gil

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Fulham)

Bryan Gil has reportedly returned to full training following his groin operation over the summer, but the Spanish youngster is not expected to be risked for the visit of Liverpool given his lengthy absence.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Giovani Lo Celso has spent a month on the sidelines with a thigh injury sustained in the Lilywhites' EFL Cup loss to Fulham in August, and no date has been pencilled in for the Argentine's comeback just yet.

Alfie Whiteman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman represents the final Tottenham surgical victim, having recently undergone an ankle operation, and he will also be sidelined until further notice.
