Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that his side will win the League Cup as long as they are at their best in the final on February 28.
The Reds booked a spot in the Wembley showpiece with a penalty shootout victory over Stoke City earlier this week, and they were joined a day later by Manchester City, who overcame Everton in the second semi-final.
City will go into the match as favourites despite being beaten 4-1 the last time the two teams met, but Mignolet believes that his side are more than capable of winning a first trophy since 2012.
"We have to look at our own job and make sure we as Liverpool are ready when it is Wembley time," he told talkSPORT.
"You have to make sure you are focused on your own job rather than your opponents.
"We know Manchester City have got a very good side with lots of individual quality but if we are at our best we don't have to worry about any opponent."
Liverpool's immediate focus now turns to the FA Cup, however, as they host West Ham United in the fourth round on Saturday.
