Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has criticised the refereeing decisions against his team during their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City this evening.
The Reds suffered their first league defeat in five games and were overtaken in the table by City, but Rodgers was deeply disappointed by the match officials, and in particular was incensed by an offside decision that went against Raheem Sterling in the first half.
"I'm very proud of the players, they were outstanding but they had no help whatsoever from the officials," he told reporters.
"The linesman on the offside one, they weren't even on the same cut of grass.
"When you're working at this level, you've got to get it right. These are big moments in big games."
Liverpool are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
