Liverpool have reportedly agreed to sell midfielder Jay Spearing to Bolton Wanderers, despite originally planning a loan move.
The 23-year-old, who was a prominent member of the Reds team under former boss Kenny Dalglish last season, has recently been praised by Bolton manager Owen Coyle, who initially touted a loan deal for the playmaker.
It is understood that the Merseyside club have accepted a £3m offer from the Championship outfit, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite Spearing's launch into the first team from the Liverpool youth set-up, it is believed that the acquisition of Joe Allen and Nuri Sahin will push the midfielder out of Brendan Rodgers's side.
