Loris Karius has reportedly been informed by Jurgen Klopp that he will remain Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper for the 2018-19 campaign.
The Reds had made replacing the flop keeper their top priority this summer following his high-profile errors in the 3-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
Roma stopper Alisson Becker was top of Klopp's list of targets but, after being left frustrated in his pursuit, The Sun claims that Liverpool will postpone their search until next summer.
Alisson, currently representing Brazil at the World Cup in Russia, is now expected to choose between Real Madrid and Chelsea as both teams are willing to meet his hefty valuation.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will stick with Karius for the next year, while Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward are unlikely to be granted moves away.
