Manchester City have reportedly turned down a loan offer from Liverpool for Micah Richards.
It is believed that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to add a right-back to his squad, with Glen Johnson ruled out for the foreseeable future with ankle and groin injuries.
However, having approached City regarding the availability of Richards, they were informed by the Premier League leaders that the 25-year-old was not available, according to the Daily Mail.
Elsewhere, reports have claimed that Rodgers is close to securing the services of Ukrainian winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.
