Schalke 04 are reportedly prepared to sell Ozan Kabak for €30m (£27m) at the start of 2021.
The 20-year-old is believed to be a transfer target for Liverpool, who are expected to enter the January transfer market to sign a centre-back following Virgil van Dijk's potentially season-ending knee injury.
AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in the Turkey international, and according to Bild, Schalke would be prepared to sanction his exit in January if they receive an offer of €30m (£27m).
Last month, it was reported that Liverpool had already approached the defender's German club with the view to agreeing a deal before the winter window opens for business.
Kabak, who only joined the Royal Blues from Stuttgart in June 2019, has made two Bundesliga appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
Liverpool have also been linked with Schalke's teenage centre-back Malick Thiaw.
