Liverpool consider making an offer for Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly considering making an offer for Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi.

The 26-year-old, who has helped Italy reach the Euro 2020 final, enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for his Serie A club, scoring 17 times and contributing eight assists in 30 league appearances.

Berardi still has three years left to run on his contract, but there have been suggestions that he could move on during this summer's transfer window.

According to La Stampa, Liverpool have 'set their sights' on the Italy international, who is said to be 'tempted' to seek pastures new in the current market.

The report claims that the Reds are weighing up a €40m (£34m) offer, although any move could depend on whether Mohamed Salah departs ahead of the new season.

Berardi, who Liverpool are thought to regard as a potential alternative to PSV Eindhoven's Donyell Malen, has scored 105 goals and registered 67 assists in 291 appearances for Sassuolo.
