Brendan Rodgers is weighing up a move for Burnley full-back Kieran Trippier after failing to secure the signature of Nathaniel Clyne, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has been linked with several Premier League clubs in recent weeks, including Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Liverpool are now leading the race for Trippier, who is thought to have a £3.5m release clause in his contract, reports The Mirror.
Trippier started all 38 of Burnley's Premier League games last season, but could not prevent Sean Dyche's side from being relegated to the Championship.
