Schalke 04 defender Joel Matip has reportedly agreed to join Liverpool on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old was linked with the Merseyside outfit during the January transfer window, but the German club refused to sanction a move.
Jurgen Klopp's interest, though, has not waned and according to The Mirror, the former Borussia Dortmund boss will get his man on a free transfer in the summer.
Matip, who has spent nine years with Schalke, has played every minute of the club's matches in the Bundesliga so far this season.
Liverpool have struggled defensively this season due to numerous injuries and a lack of form, but they kept a clean sheet at the weekend in a 6-0 thumping of Aston Villa.
