Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has said that he is determined to earn a place in England's 2014 World Cup squad.
The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for the Reds since joining them from Chelsea last January, scoring 22 goals in 30 competitive matches.
"On a personal level, I want to keep working hard and look to improve," he told FourFourTwo. "I'm not going to set myself any crazy targets.
"If I can keep developing my game and get a place at the World Cup, I'll be delighted. That would be an amazing achievement.
"When you consider where I've come from since last January, it'd be brilliant to be on that plane to Brazil."
Sturridge has been out with an ankle injury since the end of November.
