There was no separating Lorient and Evian TG on Saturday in Ligue 1 as the teams shared goals either side of the break in a 1-1 draw.
It was the perfect start for the home side, as Vincent Aboubakar crossed for Jeremie Aliadiere to head low and beyond Jesper Hansen for a fifth-minute lead.
With Aboubakar buoyed by his earlier assist, he attempted an effort from some 25 yards but could not keep his strike down as it flew over.
Lorient were still dominant and Kevin Monnet-Paquet was the next to come close. His shot from the edge of the box, however, was kept out and held by Hansen.
Towards the end of the half the away team got themselves on top of the game and could have been level on 36 minutes, but Youssouf Sabaly's fizzing low drive was well tipped wide by Fabien Audard.
Evian started the second half the way they ended the first, but with half-chances being wasted, it was starting to look as though they would leave empty-handed.
However, with 20 minutes left to play they snatched a share of the points as Daniel Wass poked in a far-post cross by Kassim Abdallah.
