Lille were unable to find a way past Lyon in Ligue 1 on Saturday as the pair were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw at Stade de Gerland.
Chances were few and far between in a frantic opening to the match, but the visitors were forced into making a change in the 18th minute when David Rozenhal was brought on in place of the injured Marko Basa.
Nolan Roux came close to an opener early in the second half, but his acrobatic overhead kick flew just wide of the target.
The best opportunity of the match fell to Salomon Kalou 15 minutes from time after being put through on goal by Ronny Rodelin, but Anthony Lopes was on hand to rush off his line to make the save.
Les Gones nearly won the match late on through Bafetimbi Gomis, but his toe-poke was smartly saved by Vincent Enyeama.
Lyon stay in eighth place following the result, while Lille remain fourth.
