Mexican outfit Cruz Azul are reportedly keen on signing Malaga striker Roque Santa Cruz in the January transfer window.
The experienced forward joined Malaga from Manchester City in 2013 and has scored 17 times in 70 games for the Spanish club.
Malaga's director of football Mario Husillos claimed on Tuesday that the La Liga side had received an offer for the 33-year-old, but the club in question has not been named.
According to AS, Cruz Azul, who lost 4-0 to Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup on Tuesday, lead the race for the Paraguay international.
Santa Cruz has a contract at Malaga until June 2016.
