Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has said that he believes his side are beginning to compete with Europe's elite teams, having reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time.
Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of their quarter-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain this evening to wrap up a 3-2 aggregate victory over the Ligue 1 champions.
City had never made it into the last eight of Europe's premier competition before this season, and Hart acknowledged that it was a special achievement for the club.
"An amazing night for us. We have worked hard in this competition. We struggled to start with but we have started to compete," he told BT Sport.
"Credit to PSG, I thought they made it a fantastic encounter. I thought we really did shine in this leg. Fantastic from the whole team, even those not on the bench."
The victory was City's first ever home win in a European Cup/Champions League knockout game.
