Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has expressed his frustration at his side's 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in their Champions League Group D opener.
City were twice in front at the home of the La Liga giants, courtesy of second-half strikes from Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov.
However, they now return to England without a point after Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo turned the game on its head with two goals in the last three minutes.
"It's not on," said Hart. "You can't go 2-1 up and lose the game. We can only blame ourselves.
"They are a very good team and so are we. We dug deep, got a lead twice and threw it away. It's hard to come off the field after losing 3-2 and be positive."
City's next game in European competition is on Wednesday, October 3 at home to Borussia Dortmund, who beat Ajax 1-0 this evening.
